We are in currently gathering speakers and topics for our virtual Regional Education Day! This exciting event will bring together neighbouring provinces NS, PEI, NB and NL Chapters fostering expanded learning, regional collaboration, and networking opportunities.

• Do you have a specific topic you would like to see on the agenda
• Do you know of a dynamic speaker who would be a great fit
• Would you like to present on a specific topic

Please send us your suggestions by July 10, 2026. Join us in shaping an impactful day of learning at the Eastern Regional Education Day.

Remember CHIM members can get up to 5 CPE credits for presenting.

I would be interested in seeing a panel on non-traditional roles for HIMs outside of medical coding, privacy, and health data analysis. For example, how can HIMs work to improve health research, social determinants of health, public health literacy, or ensure that medical information in AI systems is more accurate going forward? Thanks for considering this topic.
